How have I not discovered this author sooner?!? I haven’t read the other books in this series (yet), but after reading this one I most certainly will be doing so soon. This book was exceptional. Firstly, it was both very well written and well edited. The storyline moved along at a great pace. I was drawn to this book, because Quentin was an Army helicopter pilot injured during a tour in Afghanistan. My husband was a career Army officer who flew helicopters as well and also served in the Middle East. I liked how both MCs were kind of broken. The McCoy family was beyond amazing. I obviously loved Lola best though. I liked how the author portrayed bucket lists as being less about doing stuff before you die and more about what you want to do with your life. I’m a big believer in doing everything while you’re still healthy enough to manage it. In the past year alone, I went zip lining, skydiving, and did a luge course. This book gave me the idea to book a hot air balloon ride for this fall. (Thanks, Ms Pine!) All in all, this was an exceptional book which I highly recommend.
